The family of Yaacoub

As salam wa alikum everyone, I am informing and urging everyone in this community in regard to Yacuub’s funeral arrangements and family situation. Many of you knew him from stopping by International Market. This community on Sunday lost a very kind, pious and sincere individual, and his family has lost a son, grandchild and nephew. He was 18 years old. May Allah, subhanahu wa ta’ala (God, the most glorified, the most high) accept from him and grant himthe highest degree of heaven.

His family has endured a lot this past year after losing a home due to fire and recent tragedy with their son, who was stabbed on Friday, June 3 and succumbed to his injuries Sunday, June 11. Yacuub had accepted Islam within this past year and was striving to give the message of Islam via dawah (inviting the community). May Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala give us all hidaya (guidance). I am urging everyone to contribute and show support to this family. May Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala accept from all of us.

The title was “Hope everyone had a blessed Friday.” He addressed his brothers and sisters in Islam: “If you were to die right now, at this very second, do you feel like all of your good deeds will surpass your bad deeds? Do you feel comfortable with all of the Quran (Holy Book) you recited in your life? Do you feel comfortable with the amount of repentance you might have done for your bad deeds? Ask yourself that right now.”
