Hello, my name is Kimberly Mathias and I am Steve's eldest daughter. My Dad had the biggest heart! He was generous. He was passionate about helping those less fortunate, even if it meant giving his last dollar. I've seen him give more in my lifetime without taking a thing from anyone. He was the guy that would go into a burning car to save someone. He always fought for the under dog and hated bullies! My Dad was one of the most generous, honest, and funny men I knew. He worked hard, 2 jobs while we were growing up, so my Mom could stay home and take care of us in Huntington Beach. He graduated from the police academy in his 40's and worked for the Marshalls/Sheriffs department until retirement. He loved his friends, his co-workers and his family with all of his heart. He deserves to be honored for his courage and his legacy. Unfortunately, when my Dad passed on November 14th of 2022, he left us so broken hearted. It happened so fast, that we didn't get a chance to prepare. On November 10th while leaving the hospital, I fell in the parking lot and broke both of my wrists, both thumbs and my ulna is fractured to my elbow. I am now unable to work for a few months and I am afraid of the consequences to come. Therefore, I am asking for help from you all, so we can provide my Dad with a proper service after the holidays, and take care of his medical expenses that insurance will not cover. Christmas has been canceled for our family this year and I know that it's difficult for majority of you all in these times. I hate to ask, but I really need your help.
