Steve Jeffrey - Gone but never forgotten

Donation protected
Dear friends,

As many of you will know on 20th April 2023 Steve Jeffrey was unexpectedly and tragically taken from us. He went to work in London that morning and never came home:

At this heart breaking time Andrea, Amy, Kai and family have had their worlds turned upside down and are going through the worse experience imaginable. No explanations, no planning, no final words of comfort, no goodbyes!

Steve worked very hard all his life and was full of pride for his family. His bubbly kind hearted nature and caring personality touched so many. He would do anything for anyone and would put them unselfishly before his own needs.

Steve spent a lot of his time at the side of the football pitch with his family and extended football family. He was an avid West Ham fan and it is hoped that his funeral will pay tribute to that and we will certainly always think of him when we see those bubbles going into the sky. Steve’s love of football didn’t stop there, he would travel the South East and beyond supporting his son Kai who currently plays for Ebbsfleet U18s & Whitstable U19s, but has represented numerous other clubs over the years at youth level such as Higham Eagles, Cobham Colts, Maidstone, Gillingham, Sheppey, Medway District and Kent Schools. He was proud of Kai’s achievements and we are sure Steve will be watching over him with every kick of the ball in the future. He was also as equally proud and full of love for his Andrea and Amy.

This devastating news has been so unexpected and a shock to us all and as his footballing family we felt it would be amazing to set up a go fund me page to try and raise as much as possible to help take the financial strain from his family and let them focus on what’s important and give Steve the send off he deserves. No one expects to go to work and lose their life and we do not all plan for such tragic outcomes by planning for funerals in advance and how our families will get by if we are suddenly taken.

Steve was always the first to buy a pint and help anyone where he could therefore we hope people will dig deep but any donation big or small will be massively appreciated. There are plans to do fundraising events going forward and we felt this would be the best place to be transparent in raising funds to help the family.

Gone but never forgotten.

We miss you Scuba
