With permission from Michael’s family, we have organized this fundraiser

Michael Jones-White was a fine young man of just 17 years old, taken far too soon in a tragic car accident. His sudden passing has deeply shaken his family, friends, and the Haida community who knew him as a bright spirit, a true provider, and a young man deeply rooted in his culture.

Michael’s mother sustained injuries in the accident and is now facing both physical recovery and unimaginable grief. At a time when no parent should have to face such loss, we are coming together to help lift some of the heavy burdens that lie ahead — funeral costs, medical expenses, travel arrangements, and time for healing.

Michael was known for his strong sense of responsibility and his love for his people. Whether fishing, hunting, helping Elders, or Haida dancing, he lived with purpose and pride. His spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
