The Family of Matthew Butler

Matthew Butler, locally known as the man who frequented the Edwardsville Court House and Edwardsville Library was involved in an accident on Troy Rd. on June 30th. Matthew was then airlifted to a local St. Louis University hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and passed away Saturday, July 8th. Matthew was at one time a successful attorney in California before struggling with mental illness. This is also where his two children currently reside. As the family navigates these challenging and unforeseen times, we are setting up a GoFundMe to help relieve any financial stress the family may face and all proceeds left over will go to his two children.
