How does one ask for help from family, friends, and potentially strangers? It is not easy to do, and quite often doesn't happen due to pride. But when tragedy affects wonderful people, and they are left trying to put their lives back together emotionally and financially, we can put aside pride and ask for help. My name is Jena Jaeger, and I am starting this GoFundMe to help my cousin Sara Hall-Campbell and her family cope with the tragic loss of her husband and father to their children, Kevin. It is with a heavy heart that I share Kevin Campbell took his own life on February 17th, 2024. Kevin was a man who put EVERYONE before himself, but he still did his best to fight the mental illness that had been plaguing him for the past three years. He lost that fight in the home he loved and built with Sara. While Sara and the children are grieving their loss, we don't want them worried about the cost of professional cleaning for their home, medical bills, and end-of-life costs. Sara and Kevin did not live a traditional lifestyle, wanting to be close to the land and live off of what it provided. That also means they did not have insurance to cover unexpected events. If you know Sara, you know that she would never want to ask. Humbly, it is needed. Unfortunately, the professional cleaning for the home alone is over $11,000, and previous mental health bills for Kevin are rolling in. This situation is difficult, but we can help Sara and the kids focus on grieving instead of debt. Anything given to this family will be received with gratefulness and appreciation beyond words. Thank you for considering.
