The family of John Patton

*Last edit! Maria is back to work (bittersweet), so here is a NEW MEAL TRAIN for this necessary, but difficult transition! Thank you and continue to share!!

* Third edit, John is home Most of you know that from my update, but this fight isn't over! Not physically, mentally, emotionally, or financially! Maria is going back to work VERY soon , but let's continue to support them and lift them up! This has been a Godsend for them, Aflac has not finished their case. Each and every single one of you helped this family breathe a little bit softer the last couple of months! They have not asked me to do this, I am PERSONALLY asking for more donations simply because I can't imagine suddenly dropping from a two income family to none, back to one, etc. John will eventually get back to working also, but we don't want him to be rushed into it and it wouldn't be something full-time. Anyway, if you can SHARE again and PRAY some more, that would be amazing! Thank you! Thank you! Thank youuuu! Specific prayers for Maria going back to work, as you can imagine, this will be a hard transition for her and the family, but I know everything will be alright

*Second edit, in case you missed an update, John is awake! They woke him Friday, January 12th. He still has a long road of recovery, but he is doing so well, all things considered! Not giving specifics, but your prayers for recovery and help have been phenomenal in this nightmare! Keep it up! John knows he's been a part of a miracle! Let's keep showing this family the light in this hard time as they adjust to a new normal! Maria will not be back to work for a bit, so every penny means the world to them, and they still can't believe the support they have received

*Edited to add a meal train link that Maria's cousins kindly put together! Please feel free to share this!
He is alive, praise God, but John's road to recovery is going to be a long one! He was struck by a car while walking on Muncaster road on the night of January 3rd. He's having a surgery today, many surgeries to come in his future, and he is on a ventilator. There will be many tests, an MRI, scans, etc., and we just want to help where we can. Eventually, food will also be organized, and all the kids will be taken care of whenever needed. Prayers are needed the most, but in addition to, I'm asking for your help!

Let me start by saying, if you know John and his wife Maria, you know they are amazing people! I haven't even known them that long and their family has been a Godsend for us. I am Amanda, just a close friend of the family, our kids are best friends, and I am the babysitter of the youngest, Emmett (1). John has two step children, Maddox (9) and Olivia (7) and he is a spectacular father figure for them. They are understandably devasted.
I can go on and on, but it will just be desperate ramble, so please, if you have any funds or resources, consider donating to this family in this hard time. They have no idea what the future holds for them and any tiny bit of stress we can relieve will be worth it. You can also just share this link!

Thank you so much ahead of time! Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or ideas! I'm just trying to open this link as fast as possible for them. They are so loved, let's SHOW THEM!

GOD BLESS!
