On Sunday, May 28th, we lost the rock of our family, Eric James Escamilla, to a fatal motorcycle accident at 7:30pm on highway 129. With a personality and heart larger than life, Eric James Escamilla, known as “Jimi” to his family and friends, was the sole provider to his family and love of his life of 38 years, Sylvia Jimenez. Jimi’s sudden and unexpected departure from our world leaves a gigantic hole in our hearts, survived by his parents Joel and Gloria, his life partner Sylvia, his sister Monique, his children Thomas and Selina, and his grandchildren Maddox, Ryder, Portia, soon -to-be-born granddaughter Zoe, and many more family members who all love him dearly. Jimi was always the life of the party, and had the genuine quality of being able to make friends with perfect strangers wherever he went. He never took a moment of his life for granted, and will be missed dearly by so many family members and friends.
