Sometime after 4 a.m. Sunday,  November 25th, our son, Eric, after struggling for years with depression and alcoholism decided to end his own life. Although he had been sober for a year, he could not shake the sadness and anger of a lifetime battle with depression. He lost hope. One of the major contributing factors was his pain over the steady decline in his family's financial situation. He was a tireless worker who took any job available but still struggled to make ends meet. In the words of his wife, Jessica, " He was lost within himself and this world. Eric had a beautiful soul, he had no idea of course, and sometimes we didn't always see it. Sometimes I didn't see it. I do know from my own eyes and my time with him on this earth, he was an extremely good father, loving son, and a devoted husband. The hardest working man I know. My children adored him, loved him. He gave us the best life he could."
We are starting this gofundme account so that friends and family can help Jessica care for their 3 young children, Molly, 5, Jason, 3, Brenna, 23 months in the months to come while she sorts out what to do, where to go, how to go forward with out Eric.
