The family and daughter of Monica Laackmann (Day)

On May 17, 2022 our family’s youngest sister, Monica Lynn Laackmann (Day), lost her lifelong battle with depression. Monica from her time in high school Med Tech was constantly working and caring for those in need. Her first job being at the Brethren's Retirement home and then continuing on to becoming an EMT.

 

We are looking for support from our friends and family, in order to help pay for the memorial expenses but more importantly to help with the development and emotional care of Monica’s daughter, Athena.

 

Athena is 4 years old, she currently visits a speech therapist and suffers from epilepsy. In addition to continuing the professional treatment for these challenges, our family wants to make sure that Athena has counseling available when she needs it.

 

Any support above the initial goal will be split between Athena’s future care and a donation in Monicas name to a local mental health center.
