The Fallen King - Lost Star, Animated Short Film

"After what was supposed to be a fatal encounter, a young girl is found in an alley by a mute wanderer. The wanderer tries to save the girl's life, but finds she must earn the child's trust in order to do so. All the while a disaster is set to befall the city they are in, where their bond will be put to the ultimate test."

And so I present to you, Lost Star, a short story set in the world I've created called, The Fallen King! The film is directed, written and scored by me. However, the rest of the production: the animation, visual effects, storyboarding, and more will be done by a group of incredibly talented artists I am grateful to work with to bring this short to life!

The Fallen King as a project is something I have been working on for years, releasing music videos depicting certain scenes from the story. Now having released eight of those and continue to work on more, there's one particular idea I find myself unable to make just a single music video for. The story, the drive, the emotion; all of this I want to convey in the best way possible, and that's where I got the idea to have it animated. The Fallen King - Lost Star will be a 2D animation that will be approximately 2-3 minutes long. Although I am going to do my best to pay for this out of my own pocket, I am currently in college for my graduate degree, and we are all aware that paying for an education costs an arm and a leg. So, to prevent me from going bankrupt and selling my soul for a loan, I have come to GoFundMe to seek help raising money. All funds that come from here will be given directly to the artists who are enduring my insanity. As I am sure you're all familiar with this saying: any little bit helps! Animation is a costly expense, and to make sure the artists you work with don't charge at you with pitch forks and torches, they deserve a good pay for the hard work they put in! Not to mention, the more this GoFundMe earns, the more artists I can bring on board and who knows, if it does really well, perhaps this single short could pave the way for more to come!
