The Ethiopian Jewish Community in Be'er Sheva

Hi! My name is Ronen Heine (Australia) and along with my good friend Lior Shoham (Israel), we are trying to get some urgent financial help to people who are desperately in need in Israel, following the tragic Hamas terrorist attacks in Israel.
With so many of us in the diaspora feeling helpless, heart broken and at a loss in how we can assist, hopefully this provides a platform for us to unite and show the people of Israel that we are behind them.
This is just one story of many … anything will help!

The Ethiopian Jewish Community in Be'er Sheva
In the wake of the recent Hamas attack, the Jewish Ethiopian community of Be'er Sheva (just 40km from Gaza), numbering 13,000 people, is facing immense hardship and grief.
Countless missiles have rained down on their city, sending citizens, including elderly and small children, rushing to shelters repeatedly. This is still ongoing.
Prior to the terrorist attacks, this small community was already dealing with major economic challenges, with most earning below-average salaries and living in low socioeconomic conditions. With the war, stores are closed and businesses shut (meaning there is no work available), they are now facing extremely trying circumstances - some families are without any food in their fridge and most are lacking in basic essentials like food, clothing and sanitary products.
With Israeli government's focus on the war, welfare and support will not come for weeks or months ...
So today, they need our support more than ever.
Our friend Naftali Aklum is a leader of the community and he and his family are personally working tirelessly around the clock to provide essential supplies like food and clothing to those affected.
They are putting together essential food baskets and going door to door delivering to families in need.
1 basket = AUD$128 and provides essential support for 1 family. There are thousands in need.
Any contribution can make a significant difference in their lives, bringing not only relief but hope.
Let's stand together and show that compassion and support can shine through.
