Katie lived expansively and loved without hesitation. She showed up with humour, style, intelligence and grace … an unmistakably bright smile and seeing eyes as deep as the ocean. Open to life. Open to love.

An intimate ceremony has already been held for immediate family to lay Katie’s courageous body to rest. We are now preparing a memorial celebration to honour her life and the love she shared so freely with the many people fortunate enough to know her.

This gathering will honour Katie as she was … vibrant, wholehearted and generous. It will be a space for stories, connection, laughter and remembrance. A true celebration of a life lived with extraordinary heart.

Due to limited capacity, the memorial itself will be a small in-person gathering. However, we know Katie’s community reaches far beyond the room, and we want those who loved her to still be part of the moment. A link to view the memorial will be shared so that her wider community can join in remembering and celebrating her life.

Many of you have already supported Katie, Jesse and their two beautiful sons throughout the years. That generosity has carried the family in immeasurable ways, and we remain deeply grateful.

We are now sharing this fund more broadly within Katie’s community. The funds raised will go toward creating a ceremony worthy of Katie, without placing additional financial strain on the family and those helping to carry this gathering. Where possible, remaining funds will also help support Jesse and the boys as they continue forward, held in Katie’s love.
