We’re creating this fund in loving memory of our friend Erik, a kindhearted medical student at the University of Michigan who passed away last year. He was well on his path in medicine, planning to specialize in oncology, and would have been among those graduating in 2026.

Erik was hilarious, selfless, and truly an incredible friend. He loved the outdoors - walking and running through Michigan’s parks with friends was one of his greatest joys. To honor his spirit, we hope to bring the community together and raise enough for a tribute bench in Ann Arbor - somewhere people can sit, remember, reflect, and feel Erik’s presence among the trails he cherished. Every donation helps us celebrate his life and keep his memory alive.
