The Erie Family

The Erie's had a devastating house fire in the early hours of April 12th. Luckily Chris woke up to the smell of smoke and was able to alert Greg and Henry and they all got out safely. They also were able to get all their beloved pets out as well.

If you know Chris and Greg, you know how much they give to our community. You also know that they are the type to not ask for help, but are the first to help anyone in need. Chris, a Funeral Director helps hundreds of families every year. She gives her all for each family and makes one of the most challenging times in their lives, a little less stressful. Greg, Waterloo PD, works day after day protecting the citizens of Waterloo and would give the shirt off his back to someone if needed.

Their son Henry is a junior at Columbus and is one of the most genuine human beings I have ever met. If you need something heavy moved, he will be there offering his muscles to help! Or if you just are having a bad day, this guy will have you laughing in no time.

Chris and Greg are lucky enough to have insurance, but out-of-pocket expenses are adding up. They will have to find temporary housing for 6-9 months (we all know this could take longer) and this will start adding up as well. They have pretty much had to throw everything away that was in the house. All the random items that you would think you would be able to salvage, you can't. They were able to get a lot of the clothing out but have days and days of laundry to do. Chris and Greg are not sure how much time they will need to take off from work to get all the things done, done.

They have already started receiving meals, bathroom items, and much more and we thank you all for that!! My goal now is to help them financially with this stressful situation. Thank you all!!
