The End of a Quiet Legacy - Help The Raymond Family
Donation protected
It is with heavy hearts that Benjamin and Thomas Raymond share the passing of our beloved father, Dewey C. Raymond, at the age of 72.
Throughout his life, our father faced challenges that most would find insurmountable— Parkinson’s, multiple cancers, broken bones, a hip replacement—but the battle that defined his resilience and ultimately claimed his life was his fight against AIDS.
Diagnosed with HIV in 1986, our father joined an early treatment and study program at Harbor UCLA in Carson, California. In 1990, he received a diagnosis of full-blown AIDS. Yet, through it all, he carried himself with a quiet dignity and a fierce determination that touched everyone who knew him. He was a survivor in every sense of the word, showing us all what it meant to live with courage, grace, and strength.
Our family is deeply grateful for the love, kindness, and support you’ve shown us during this profoundly dificult time. As we prepare to step into a new chapter of our lives without him, we humbly ask for your support to honor his life and legacy. Our goal is $10,484 to cover funeral expenses and a memorial service. Any excess monies, including funds raised but not used for his remembrance, will be donated in Tom's name to The Wells Project (https://thewellproject.networkforgood.com/).
Your generosity means the world to us as we navigate this heartbreaking loss.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
