On the verge of abandoning all hope for future happiness, a single post brought us into each other’s sights. we have worked and slaved away against American bureaucracy, fighting tooth and nail to decipher the mind-boggling paperwork and procedures involved with immigration and now, a mere few weeks away from the final step we can almost breathe a sigh of relief in each other’s arms. Scrimping and saving to put away little by little and ease the future financial burden, it seems yet another fight is ahead of us—trans-continental flights, immigration costs, honeymoon, diminishing living space, investing in careers, home ownership, college expenses, it all becomes overwhelming . . . but that is the adventure isn’t it?
