Hello, my name is Emily Clarida, and I am an independent author, researcher, and storyteller.

I am raising funds for The Emily Clarida 100 Libraries Legacy Project, a two-year initiative dedicated to placing my books in 100 libraries across the United States, Africa, and the African Diaspora.

As a child growing up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, libraries were places of discovery, learning, imagination, and opportunity. They gave me access to stories, history, and knowledge that helped shape my understanding of the world. Today, as an author, I believe that books should not only be available for purchase—they should also be accessible through the public institutions that serve our communities.

My goal is to place my books in 100 libraries over the next two years, helping ensure that stories of family, heritage, resilience, faith, and history remain available to readers for generations to come.

The books included in this project are:

• All of Me: Spirit, Survival & Sacred Love

• All of Me: Light Work, Heavy History

• Princess Emola: Silent Waters, Endless Skies

This project is deeply personal to me. My family’s story stretches across Pennsylvania, Georgia, Tennessee, Maryland, California, and beyond. Through my writing, I have worked to preserve family histories, cultural memories, and stories that are often overlooked. The 100 Libraries Legacy Project is my way of giving those stories a permanent place in communities where they can continue to educate, inspire, and connect readers.

I have already begun reaching out to libraries connected to my family’s journey, including institutions in Pennsylvania and Georgia. With your support, I hope to expand that effort to libraries across the country and internationally.

What Your Support Will Fund

Funds raised through this campaign will be used to support:

• Printing and replacement copies of books

• Shipping and packaging materials

• Custom legacy bookplates placed inside donated books

• Library outreach and coordination

• Project administration and documentation

• Website updates and project tracking

Every donated book will include a special project bookplate identifying it as part of The Emily Clarida 100 Libraries Legacy Project.

Project Timeline

January 2027 – December 2028

During this two-year initiative, books will be donated to libraries throughout the United States, Africa, and the African Diaspora. Progress will be documented through project updates, library acknowledgments, photographs, and an interactive project map.

Why This Matters

Libraries remain one of the few places where anyone can walk in and access stories, ideas, and information free of charge.

Representation matters.

Community history matters.

Family stories matter.

By helping place these books in libraries, you are helping preserve stories that might otherwise be lost and making them available to readers who may see parts of their own experiences reflected within their pages.

How You Can Help

You can support this project by:

• Making a contribution

• Sharing this campaign with others

• Recommending libraries that may be interested in participating

• Following and sharing project updates

Every contribution, no matter the amount, helps move another book from my hands to a library shelf where it can be discovered by future readers.

Thank you for supporting literacy, preserving stories, and helping build a lasting legacy—one library at a time.

With gratitude,

Emily Clarida
