The Emerald Inspiration Scholarship
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Angelande Estilien and I am the current Miss Emerald and Miss Inspiration from the Progressive Black Men, Incorporated scholarship pageant.
Progressive Black Men, Incorporated is a non-profit, 501(c) organization that aims to eradicate the negative stereotypes placed on African American descent.
I am creating this scholarship to help out need-based, high achieving African American descent students in the greater Orlando area. This scholarship is based on my platform, promoting economic empowerment in the black community. All the proceeds will go to eligible scholarship winners who are low-income high achieving high school seniors in the Orlando area.
I wanted to create this scholarship because, during my time in high school, I was a high achieving student who was terrified that I was not going to be able to pay for college but, through many generous local scholarships, I had the opportunity to find enough funding to help me finance my college education. I am currently in my graduating semester and still debt-free! Scholarships are a way to help reward deserving students and to encourage them to further their education and follow their dreams.
With your help, I can reach my goal to award one or more deserving students to help them pay for college!
Anything helps, and no amount is too small.
~Through collective knowledge, effort and strength, we will progress~
