Help the Elliott Family Through Their Toughest Battle
Shared with love and urgency by The Living Lab Team
For 22 years, Marvin and Ashley Elliott have built a life together rooted in love, laughter, and resilience. Through life’s storms and sunshine, they have raised their four beautiful children — Avion, Jaydan, Jordan, and Kingston — teaching them the values of perseverance, kindness, and faith.
But now, this family faces a challenge unlike anything they’ve ever endured.
Four years ago, Marvin was diagnosed with epilepsy. What began as a frightening and unpredictable condition has become a relentless battle. His seizures have grown more severe, stealing moments of peace from his days and placing a constant shadow over his family’s life. After exhausting every possible treatment, doctors have now scheduled brain surgery this August — a critical and risky step that offers hope for relief.
The procedure could involve removing the section of his brain triggering the seizures or implanting a device to control them. The risks are high, but the alternative — a life ruled by seizures — is far more devastating.
Then, just weeks before the surgery that could change everything, the unthinkable happened: Marvin’s employer of 17 years terminated his position. In an instant, the security they had relied on was gone.
Ashley, who has been balancing part-time work with the full-time demands of motherhood, is set to begin a new full-time job at the end of this month. But as Marvin faces 2–4 weeks in the hospital, followed by an uncertain recovery period and the possibility of additional surgery, the financial strain is immediate and overwhelming.
The Elliott family has never been one to ask for help. They have weathered life’s trials with grit, leaning on each other and their faith. But this moment is different. This time, they need their community to stand beside them — not just as friends or neighbors, but as family.
Your support will help them cover essential expenses during Marvin’s surgery and recovery — from keeping food on the table and the lights on, to ensuring their children’s needs are met during this incredibly difficult time.
Every donation, prayer, and share matters. Together, we can give the Elliotts the strength and stability they need to face this surgery with hope in their hearts and their eyes fixed on brighter days ahead.
Let’s rally for Marvin, Ashley, Avion, Jaydan, Jordan, and Kingston. Let’s show them that when one of us is hurting, we all show up. Because no family should fight a battle like this alone.
