The Ella Faith Mode Award

My beautiful daughter Ella tragically passed away on 1/31/17 not long after a bone marrow transplant. She was 23 years old. Ella was a bright light while she was here and had a heart for helping others. In honor of her loving spirit, we (her family) have been working with her Alma Mater, Hollins University, to establish The Ella Faith Mode Award.
The award will recognize students presenting in Hollins University’s annual science seminar. The award recognizes outstanding student research. The faculty will nominate students participating in the annual science seminar for The Ella Faith Mode Award. In addition to superior research, the student must submit an essay describing trials and tribulations she overcame to be successful
Ella had a way of spreading love and laughter wherever her adventures took her. We are asking those that love Ella and wish to honor her memory to please consider donating to this fund. We would like to hear about any fundraisers held in her honor to support this cause. Ella’s 25th Birthday would’ve been on September 8, 2018. Our goal is to have The Ella Faith Mode Award fully funded by that date. What better way to honor our beautiful girl?
Any funds beyond the $5000 will be used towards establishing The Ella Faith Mode Foundation. Our hope is that we can continue to do good deeds in her name. Thank you all for your amazing love and support! It means the world to us!
*This will be an annual award of $250. The winner each year will have their name engraved on a plaque.
