Hi, I'm running the Cardiff Half Marathon on 5th October 2025 to help improve children's education and wellbeing.

I haven't run a half marathon since 2009. After having two children and a pregnancy condition which left me bed bound (muscle wastage, loss of fitness etc), this will be a significant challenge for me.

I am grateful to be able to run to help improve education and wellbeing for children. Examples of how this money will be spent include:

- wellbeing areas in schools

- funding residential trips

- providing uniform and shoes

- contributing to Mary's Meals in Africa and to Magic Breakfast in the UK

The AIMS of the Trust are to:

(a) Support children's education in memory of Elizabeth Madge.

(b) Establish an annual award to recognise all-round contribution and effort in schools in which she had taught and other schools as appropriate.

(c) Make awards to recognise the outstanding contribution of an individual to any of the charities which Elizabeth worked tirelessly to support.

(d) Continue to raise money to ensure the Trust can maintain its aims.
