I am starting this campaign for my dear friend Elias Lopez Garcia.  I have known Elias for the past 20 years and  am so amazed at his spiritual growth and the amazing  enthusiastic yoga community that have gathered in his classes over the past 20 years. 

This big-hearted Anusara yoga teacher, who has been teaching yoga students here in Brooklyn, at Ananda Ashram and in Mexico for 2 decades needs our loving support.

During this pandemic he was not feeling his usual energetic self and landed in the hospital. The diagnosis is Multiple Myeloma. He is currently receiving treatment from Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, one of the best cancer hospitals in the world.  He is getting radiation now and will be getting chemo therapy after the radiation is completed. The treatment will be ongoing over the next 9 months.

I want to ask his students, friends and the Anusara Yoga Kula to support Elias at this time.

These funds will give him some breathing room and help him with  many medical expenses until he gets back on his feet.

His spirits are still high and sends his love to all his students and friends.
