The Eley’s dream of Becoming parents
I find myself writing about a topic that’s so close to my own heart, involving 2 people I love very much yet in a situation this couple do not deserve to be in.
After a heartbreaking 6 months, saying goodby to both his Dad and his Mum, sadly my nephew Liam and his lovely wife April have been dealt further heartbreak, this time robbing them of their dream to conceive naturally. After meeting at school and being together for 11 years, sadly back in 2018 April suffered her first ectopic pregnancy at 6weeks, resulting in the loss of her right Fallopian tube. Over the next three years they went on to get married, but always trying to fall pregnant. Sadly this past week they have been dealt another cruel blow and at 5 weeks pregnant, April suffered her second ectopic pregnancy, resulting in the removal of her left Fallopian tube.
having already been explained to previously that IVF may be a route they need to consider, sadly it is the only route they are left with for them to achieve their dream of becoming parents.
Due to ridiculous postcode lottery, and myselfknowing so well, Cambridgeshire is not an area where IVF is NHS funded. Having been through this ourselves to make our dreams come true, I know the constant worry of the next invoice, the expensive medication, the trips along the A14 where you sit in total silence and fear of what you’re about to get told, really can take its toll on you, your relationship and your mental health. If I can in anyway help by easing that burden by helping to raise them money towards them making their dreams come true, then I will. I’m sure Liam and April are very grateful for any help or advice anyone has to offer on this subject and if you could spare even a £1 to help them out, then please do so.
Let’s give these guys a break and help them get on the right path to making their dreams come true.
