The Elefante Family

This fundraiser is for our dear friends, Caryn, Joe, and Cate Elefante. What they are going through is unimaginable. Caryn has been battling Stage 4 Metastatic breast cancer for several years. She's been through two types of immunotherapy, one type of oral chemotherapy, and two types of intravenous chemotherapy, with decreasing levels of success over time. Now this family needs our help. As her cancer mercilessly spreads, Caryn's lungs continue to fill with fluid and the family will need to hire visiting nurses to assist with her care. Joe would like to take time off from his job in public education to be with Caryn, and their 12 year old daughter, Cate. However, there is a cap on NJ Family Leave Insurance, so if Joe takes this necessary time off, it would be an unmanageable loss of income.
