The Ebel Family needs your help!

My name is Linda Gerig and I am raising funds to help our friends, Bill and Lynette Ebel.

10 years ago, a lot of you helped them start the journey of adopting their son, Ben, from South Africa when he was 6 years old. You helped them spiritually and emotionally through prayer, encouragement, and by giving financially to be able to bring Ben home. They are now in a season of parenting Ben in a way they never could have imagined when they began this back in 2011. And once again, they need your help.

Over the past few years, Ben started showing signs of some behavioral issues that were troubling to them. These behaviors impacted Ben’s home life and school performance. They started to see things in Ben that they knew most likely came from some sort of early childhood trauma, in addition to the psychological issues that are a part of adoption. They reached out to find him help through his school counselors and private counseling, through medical professionals and church leadership, but Ben needed more help than what they could provide. Through the guidance of leaders in their school district, they were able to find a therapeutic group home that specializes in helping kids like Ben work through their trauma and learn to manage their behaviors. The program typically lasts 9-12 months and has a 93% success rate for graduates; however, their insurance does not cover a large portion of the program and it is extremely expensive, leaving them to cover over $1,300/month. They are working hard to come up with as much as they can, but they cannot keep up with what is required to keep Ben in the program.

We are humbly reaching out to ask if you’d consider helping them with his medical expenses. Any amount, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated and would go a long way in helping them get Ben the help that he needs.
