Allen is an amazing father of 6 young children and wonderful husband. He is a loving friend and would give someone the shirt of his back. He is someone you could call for anything and if he can help he will be there. In March of this year. Allen Was Diagnosed with a rare illness called Sarcoidosis. Sarcoidosis is a condition in which there is an abnormal collection of inflammatory cells that form scar tissue in the lungs, skin, lymph nodes, as well as other organs if not treated. Well in Allen’s case he also has chronic gout which hid this illness for years. So now his body is covered. With this being a rare illness this was not something that his local doctors were able to handle. The closes place that we could find with a well rated sarcoidosis clinic was Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, Ca. We have started care there and recently had a PET CT done were it is confirmed that he has stage 3 almost stage 4 in his lungs (4 being the worst), He has it on his brain, skin, multiple bones are covered in lesions, and his heart which the doctors are most concerned about at this point and we are looking at placing a defibrillator.
This is going to be a long road for Allen and his family for awhile. Please help if you can, anything you can give, is a beginning of more then they have now.
