The Duck's Medical Expenses

Donation protected
Hi all,
Where to began? I would like to take a mintue to tell you about what our favorite Ducks have been going through this 2015 year. For those of you who knows the Duck family: Kenny, Sheila, Taylor & Abby, you know they are the most giving & loving people you will ever come in contact with.
Kenny is a football coach at North Garland High School but not just your average coach. He holds these kids dear to his heart and goes over and beyond to make sure they have a meal, someone to lean on, someone to teach them right from wrong, and most of all someone that will always be on their side all while teaching them the sport of football. Kenny has been having some heart trouble and difficulty breathing so he went to have it checked. He was then told he has congestive heart failure. He has had stints put in to try and help but is still having issues. He has gone back in for more testing and is now starting the process of being approved for a heart transplant. A total of 3 surgeries so far for Kenny and a new heart will make 4.
Second, let's talk about the youngest daughter Abby. She is in her Junior year at Sam Houston State University and a Zeta. She started having head issues and went in for testing in July, where a cyst was discovered on her brain. You can only imagine the feeling the Duck family had knowing Abby was going to have to have brian surgery to remove this cyst. As Abby got prepped to go in for the Surgery, her dad Kenny was put into the hospital. The were both in the same hospital having surgery at the same time. Kenny having heart surgery and Abby having brain surgery. After surgery, Abby had a few side affects that she was dealing with but for the most part seemed to be a lot better. She headed back to school. Not long after being back, she started leaking brain fluid. She then had to go back to the hospital and have a second brain surgery. The doctors had to take fat from her tummy and place it in the surgery spot to stop the leaking. A total of 3 surgeries for her.

Abby is now home and doing as well as she can. Kenny is now testing to get all his body and organs checked out so that the committee can decide if he gets on the list for a heart. Then will be headed home with a pic line until he gets approved for a new heart.

Taylor had some exciting news November 21st when she said Yes to marry her best friend, Preston! She is now trying to plan a wedding while remaining as strong as possible for her family. She has been extremely tough during this process, trying to be strong for her mom, dad and sister.

Now to tiny little Sheila. She has been one heck of a rock in the Duck Family. I couldn't imagine going through my husband having heart surgery and a daughter having brain surgery all within a few months apart. This mamma needs prayers for her family.

All the money raised will go towards medical bills, Taylor's wedding and anything else the Duck's need along the journey ahead.

To see the postive attitude of all 4 of these individuals have withheld is amazing. Bring on better 2016 year for our little DUCKS! Please keep this amazing family in your prayers this holiday season. Let's also say a prayer for Kenny to be accepted for the heart transplant. Thank you!
