Grace, who is only 12, has been very recently diagnosed with Leukemia. It was very sudden and has turned this family’s life upside-down. Laura only asks for prayers for Grace, Laura, Jim, Matthew and their extended family and friends right now and in the months and years to come as they go on this journey.
Practically speaking, this GoFundMe Page will be to raise funds to help with extra costs such as gas, parking, food and other expenses. Laura is also unable to work during this time. It looks like Grace may be in Children’s Hospital for the next few weeks as she starts treatment. Once home, Grace will still be on intensive treatment plan, meaning almost every day going to Children’s Hospital in Vancouver. After that there will probably be close to two years of her having to go to down a few times a month for more treatment. This treatment plan is tentative and may change over time.
