The Dream Can't Sleep; a new play by Amber Deasy
Donation protected
Hello all!
My name is Amber Deasy and I am a theatre-maker from West Cork.
This year I wrote my first play called The Dream Can't Sleep, which follows two young Irish immigrants living in London in their early twenties chasing a dream. This piece is a dynamic two-hander that explores what life is like for modern Irish immigrants, the complicated relationship we have with home and how dreams can often imprison us more than they set us free.
This project is currently in the early stages of development and having its first Rehearsed Reading as part of the Catalyst programme at the Cork Arts Theatre in September!
It is being directed by myself and performed by actors Imogen Deasy (yes, my younger sister) and Jack O'Shaughnessy.
We are so excited to get to tell this story and would be unbelievably grateful for any donations that would help us get this new work on it's feet. Your contribution will be put towards production costs, paying our creative team and help us to bring the first steps of this pieces journey to life. Any amount is greatly apperciated, whether it's €1 or €1.50 - any donation will be a massive help!
A big big thank you in advance!
Best,
Amber x
