DRÅMA explores themes of faith, justice, violence, and desensitisation.

It is about how massive, horrifying events so quickly become background noise - just another layer of constant global drama - while in reality they are taking the lives of thousands of people, destroying families, futures, and entire worlds.

This album is a way of processing my own desensitisation.

Of resisting it.

Of forcing myself - and hopefully the listener - to stay present with what is happening, instead of letting horror dissolve into abstraction.

The music is human-made and old-fashionably analogue. It exists in opposition to numbness, automation, and the growing tendency to treat suffering as distant content.

Campaign Story

It all started on February 20, 2022 - four days before Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

That Sunday, I was in my studio with my friend and collaborator Scout Hansen, exchanging ideas and jamming. I found it extremely difficult to work. I was anxious, overwhelmed by all the signs pointing toward what was about to happen. I couldn’t comprehend the scale of greed and cruelty that one single power-hungry creature was about to unleash onto the world.

Out of that state - out of trying to enter the mind of a psychopath - “Serpent Song” was born.

So far, it is the only single released from my upcoming album DRÅMA.
