'THE DORM ROOM' - A Short Film by Ephram Oliver

'THE DORM ROOM' is an upcoming short film whose story follows Bud, an overzealous, dorky first-year student at the fictional Pelham University in New York. After winning the housing lottery, Bud finds a way to support himself financially by lending the key to his dorm out to his older, job-secure friends so that they can enjoy a private night with their partners. He faces a moral conundrum when he realizes a close peer of his may be entangled with a manipulative student worker he has been assisting.

The film is a modern, college-set homage to the 1960 film 'THE APARTMENT' by one of the great filmmaking masters, Billy Wilder, and thus will require audiovisual ingenuity to execute faithfully. The director's last project, 'THE FIGHT ,' which premiered on-campus last November, demonstrated his ability to make the most of limited resources, but he wants 'THE DORM ROOM' to be bigger and better than ever. Making quality films in New York is expensive, even despite all of the wonderful assets Fordham offers. Ephram and his crew could make greatly appreciate any contribution and would use the additional funds for things like:

- Set decorations and apparel to convincingly build out the fictional world of Pelham University

- Food, drinks, and other compensation for actors and crewmembers

- Filmmaking gear upgrades for enhanced shots, sound, and organization

Anyone who donates will receive shoutouts on social media and a "Special Thanks" credit in the film, which you'll get to see on the big screen when it premieres on-campus and hopefully other film fests. Thank you so much for supporting student arts at Fordham!
