D'Jammy Awards – Celebrating Student Creativity and Excellence
Now in its 15th year, the D’Jammy Awards is the signature annual event of the Musical Institute for Knowledge and Education, honoring outstanding student achievement in music creation and performance. With awards presented in 20 diverse categories, each winner receives a cash prize in recognition of their talent, hard work, and dedication. The D’Jammy Awards are led by Dr. Mike Bogle—Grammy Nominee, Grammy U Mentee, Grammy Music Educator Quarterfinalist, and Professor of Commercial Music—whose leadership brings national recognition and professional insight to the program. What makes the D’Jammys truly special is its student-driven voting system, where students confidentially rate each other’s original works on a scale of 70 to 100, using a carefully structured peer evaluation method. This empowers students to support one another, develop critical listening skills, and foster a deeper sense of community and artistic respect.

Our Mission: Education, Inclusion, and Empowerment Through Music
The Musical Institute for Knowledge and Education is a charitable nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming lives through the power of music. Our mission is to provide education, outreach, and support for educators, communities, veterans, students, and individuals—especially those from underserved and disadvantaged backgrounds, or those living with physiological or developmental conditions such as blindness, Asperger’s syndrome, ADD, PTSD, and dementia. We believe in the unique and powerful connection between music and human potential—whether it's tapping into hidden talents, enhancing communication, or offering therapeutic value. With a special emphasis on American Popular Music and Jazz, we aim to foster creativity, inclusion, and lifelong growth for all those we serve.
