Hello everyone, my name is Tori Nash. I am a freshman at Louisiana State University, for the 2022-2023! I’ve been dancing since the age of 3, and have always had a passion for majorette. Therefore, I recently as of February 7th, 2023, establish a new majorette dance team at Louisiana State University. As of April, I was blessed to be able to hand pick 15 other magnificent ladies to join my team, and help me in making history! We were blessed to be approved as a team by the school, but since we are a up starting team here at LSU, we are trying to fundraise and gain as much support as we can as we are trying to get recognition and get off our feet in the dance industry, and because of this our team decided it would be a great idea to start a GoFundMe for our cause! Our goal and main mission as a team is to allow young women of color the space to express their art in the form of dance and as a safe haven for young women of all minorities to express their passion for dance as well. We want to encourage majorette dance at other PWI’s across the nation, and to become a competing and performing dance team for Louisiana State University. With this being said, our first order of business as a team is to get into the stands to perform, and hopefully be able to perform half-time shows. In order to do so, and look good while doing it, our team is asking for your help to get our first official team uniforms. Our first official uniform cost, for all 16 amazing dancers has totaled up to $2,060.00, and we are hoping to raise as much money towards this goal as possible! We are expecting a long journey to success, and all 16 of us amazing dancers are well prepared for the diligence it will take to make history!
