The DiMartino Family needs your help!!!
Donation protected
Anyone that knows the DiMartino family knows that they are not ones to ask for anything. They are extremely generous and have always been the first ones to donate to someone in need. This time they need our help!
The DiMartino family consists of Steven, Jessica and their 4 children. Two daughters ages 14 and 10, and two sons ages 7 and 4.
Steve has always been an extremely hard working man, creating a very successful business from the ground up and being the sole provider for his family of 6. Jessica was able to stay home and care for their 4 small children and the beautiful home they have created together.
Steve was always his families superman; loyal, loving and giving. Steve always loved people, and loved to talk. He genuinely loved life. In 2014, Steve was diagnosed with a lung condition called PLCH- Pulmonary Langerhaus Cell Histiocytosis that caused his health to decline drastically. PLCH is a very uncommon cystic interstitial lung disease that primarily affects young adults. It causes you to struggle to breathe, decreasing your oxygen intake and causing strain on other organs, like the heart. The only way to treat this disease was to be put on the transplant list and to wait and pray for a transplant.
Steve was constantly back and forth to the city to receive tons of testing, and have close monitoring from his team of doctors during this process. On October 7 2021, Steve received a double lung and a heart transplant which changed his life in many ways. This surgery and recovery time caused him to be unable to work and forced his very successful business to close. As if this wasn’t enough to go through, transplant patients and their families are often faced with emotional trials before, during, and after the transplant process. More than 50% of transplant patients experience substantial anxiety or depression within the first 2 years of the posttransplant period. While his health seems to be improving, Steve’s mental health is taking a toll on him.
As you can imagine the cost of all the medical bills and every day bills have been piling up while the DiMartino’s try to adjust to life post-transplant.
This family deserves to reset and not have to think about financial burdens right now. Please donate, share and help this family!!!
Any and all donations are greatly appreciated!
