The Difference is a short film tells the story of a young woman who learns about the thin line between justice and revenge.
About The Difference
After Olivia Dominguez’s apparent overdose, her sister, Chantelle, discovers previously unknown information about the death that points in a much more sinister direction. Unable to convince the bedraggled police to help her, Chantelle enlists the help of former vigilante, Mateo Guerrero, to hunt down her sister’s former boyfriend and find justice.
Why This Film?
I’ve always been interested in superheroes and vigilantes and more recently, I’ve noticed the lack of three dimensional female characters in that genre of films. Progress has been slow with making these films and the best way to help this process is by creating my own story to share.
With The Difference, I especially wanted to explore the differences between being a superhero and a vigilante and the difference between justice and revenge. These are the stories that I often see and associate with male superheroes as women are more often than not seen as a moral backbone and maternal figure for a story.
With my main character, Chantelle, I explore what can push someone to the edge, who gets to deliver punishments, and ultimately, the moral ethics of being a vigilante.
Budget
The money raised will be used for several different stages of this production. Most importantly, we want to ensure the satisfaction of our cast and crew by providing food and water. If we raise enough, we will also be able to compensate our cast and crew for their time and hard work.
Funds will also be used for equipment rental, insurance, and securing locations. Following the completion of this film, we will be using the remaining funds for film festivals to share our work. Please see below for a total breakdown of where your money will go.
→ Catering for Cast & Crew
→ Equipment Rental
→ Securing Locations
→ Payment for Cast & Crew
→ Props & Wardrobe

→ Reimbursing Cast & Crew for their time.
When you contribute to our campaign, we will list your name under a special “Thank You” section of our credits. If you contribute $50 or more, we will list you under the “Thank You” section and as an “Executive Producer” for the film in the credits.
We definitely cannot do this without you and would appreciate your support.
