On September 12, 2023 the Diaz family’s lives changed forever. Enrique Diaz, devoted father of 4 and loving husband, walked into an emergency room with severe abdominal pain. Pain he has lived with for the better portion of the last decade, despite being told numerous times by medical professionals that he was “fine”. Except this time, the diagnosis was much different - Cancer. An 89 mm carcinoid tumor located outside of his stomach that has spread to his liver and lymph nodes and is stage four, to be exact.

The kind of diagnosis that sucks all the air out of a room, leaving it hard to breathe, or think, or grasp just how on earth this is possible? How can someone’s life be completely flipped upside down in just a matter of hours? It’s devastating and heart breaking, but it’s not over!

From that day forward, Enrique has begun his fight, or as he likes to call it, his healing, from this nightmare. With a team of cancer specialist, he has started a treatment plan that consists of a series of enzyme injections to potentially dissolve/shrink the cancer and help alleviate his symptoms.

We are all remaining hopeful that this treatment will work and miracles will happen as Enrique has a long life left to live and a lot of people that love him and want to see him live it!

In the meantime, any donations received will go directly to the Diaz family to assist with medical expenses, household bills, and travel expenses to and from his treatments/specialist appointments.
