The Devin Eldridge Memorial Fund
Our family has experienced a sudden and tragic loss this week, so I am reaching out to those who knew and loved my brother's partner, Devin, and her family, hoping to raise funds to assist them with final expenses.
Devin suffered a stroke on Monday and was airlifted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock, where emergency brain surgery was performed. Despite the seeming success of the initial surgery, she would suffer another bleed and would never regain consciousness. The family gathered to make the difficult decision to allow nature to take its course, and after everyone had spent time with her and had said their goodbyes, support was withdrawn. She passed peacefully very shortly thereafter.
Devin was just 40 years old, and her loss was completely unexpected. I am hoping that we can relieve some of the burden of these unexpected expenses by coming together and giving whatever each of us is able. Together, we can show our love for Devin and our support for those closest to her, who are deeply grieving her loss.
I will be handling the funds raised-- under the guidance of her mother, Alecia-- and they will be used to cover her final expenses including the creation of a headstone with a Tree of Life on it. The Tree of Life was very meaningful to Devin, as many of you know, so it seems like a fitting tribute.
If anyone is interested in sending condolences by mail, they can be sent care of Robyn Piper to PO Box 473, Meredith, NH 03253, and I will be sure they are distributed to the appropriate family members.
