Hi, my name is Carliana Carpenter, and I’m raising funds for our beloved family friends The DeRyckere family.

Robin has courageously been fighting breast cancer for the past 23 years. Initially diagnosed in 2000, following a 13 year remission, the cancer returned. She underwent a bilateral mastectomy in 2015. Then in 2017, she was told that she had metastatic breast cancer that had metastasized to her spine and pelvis. Although Robin is a warrior to the nth degree, over the past year her health rapidly declined. On Saturday April 22nd Robin passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones in her home.

David continues to suffer from his anoxic brain injury which occurred in 2013. He benefits immensely from supplementary treatments and therapies that are not covered by insurance; which all require transport in a wheelchair friendly van.

We are absolutely heartbroken and humbly reaching out to our family, friends, and community to ask for support during this sad time, so that they can continue to be able to provide services for David as well as cover mortgage, monthly bills, medical costs and unexpected expenses since Robin was the sole provider, as Dale has spent the last 10 years dedicating his time to caring for David.

We truly appreciate anything you can do or donate to support the family during these very difficult times. Robin’s husband Dale, and daughter Lindsey have been working tirelessly to support Robin’s health and comfort while continuing to care for David.
