The journey of three mates coming to terms with the death of their best friend, Archie, after taking his own life.

On average, there are six male suicides every day in Australia, making up more than 75% of all Australian suicides per year. ‘The Denouement of Archie Bishop’ is a short film that raises awareness for men’s mental health and how important it is to check in on your mates, even the ones that seem like they have it all together. Over a bittersweet trip visiting all their old hangouts spots, Mikey, Philip and Oliver come to terms with Archie’s death, and recall that while being his best mates, they never even noticed something was wrong.

Our crew consists of both emerging and established creatives, including Eli Jackson (director, DoP), AFTRS alumni Belinda Tyldsley (producer, 1st AD), Thomas Tyrrell (sound), Sancia Turner (AC, DoP), and actors Cameron Wambeek, Ethan Koman, Matthew Hicks and Jackson Koman. The film has just wrapped on production and is now entering post production. Donations will directly support the next stage of production and distribution - covering costs for post production and film festival entries.
