On behalf of the Denny and Bassett families, I am asking for support and assistance with medical bills and expenses for Tim Denny as he heals from a life-altering injury.

On Sunday, February 5th, while helping a friend, Tim fell from a roof suffering multiple hip and pelvic fractures and breaking his sacrum. In an effort to save his friend from slipping, he in turn lost footing and fell 10-12 feet and has been in the hospital awaiting surgery since. Today February 7th, he underwent surgery to stabilize his sacrum and now begins the long and strenuous process of rehabilitation, physical therapy and recovery. Doctors anticipate he will not be able to put weight on his left leg for two months and will have several months of therapy before he can return to his normal way of life and make a full recovery. This is every small business owner's worst nightmare and now that the family can breathe from the fear of the unknown going into surgery, the reality of the indefinite future is setting in. Although we are all so thankful that he is doing as well as can be expected and know how much worse this could have been, we understand the extreme financial detriment an unexpected injury of this magnitude and inability to work in a very physically demanding business brings.

Those that know Tim, know how uncomfortable he would be asking for help as he lives his life on the giving end, not the receiving. In 2018 he was named Mentor of the Year by the Arizona Department of Game and Fish. Most recently he was the NWTF’s JAKES Volunteer of the Year for 2021 and has been hosting youth camps for over 18 years. He is the current Chapter President for Mingus Mountain Longbeards and to date, he has helped raise over $500,000 for the foundation. He spends countless hours volunteering his time to the conservation of wildlife and teaching our communities youth about hunter safety and conservancy. With your help, we can relieve some of the stress this family is experiencing and get Tim back in action as soon as possible. This setback has sent a huge ripple through the many people and organizations who depend on him.
