During times of need we rise up and lend a helping hand.
This past Saturday evening life took an unexpected turn for the Denham family. Lisa suffered a brain aneurysm while driving. Maddie was the passenger in the car with her mother. Maddie's quick actions got them as safe as possible to the side of the road and got her mother immediate medical attention. Maddie is a brave HERO! After arriving to the local hospital by ambulance, it was realized that Lisa needed more medical attention than the hospital could provide. Lisa was airlifted to a Neuro specialist over 2 hours away from the area the Denham family currently resides. Lisa is a stubborn, strong fighter and has continued to beat the odds. Her surgical team has taken her into surgery three times since Sunday morning. As of this afternoon the third attempt at the procedure to relieve pressure is working. Lisa is still on a respirator and heavily sedated. Lisa's team of nurses are keeping a vigilant eye on her, checking her responses and progress. As of this afternoon Lisa can move her arms and legs. The team of doctors have told David that we will know more in a few day to a week. As far as we know now Lisa will remain in the ICU for 2 weeks. Lisa will have a long road to recovery. Lisa is an amazing, caring, quick witted, ambitious, dedicated wife and mother with a zest for enjoying life and loved ones. Lisa has always been the kind of person to stand up for others and stand by those in need. I am asking that we please rise up to help the Denham family in their time of need. Kind gestures, prayers and any support you can give will be greatly appreciated. David is doing an amazing job with keeping family updated, being by his wife's side and taking care of Maddie and their pets back at home. The fight is being won and the struggle is about to begin.
