The Delgado family are not alone.

Hi, my name is Adam Teichman and I'm putting together this Gofundme campaign for the Delgado family to help them through the devastating loss of their 18 year old son, Jonathan Delgado, who tragically lost his life in a car accident last Friday night. I have had the pleasure of knowing and doing business with his father, Robert Delgado, since 2019. Besides being one of the most amazing craftsmen I have ever met, I have known him to be a very dedicated father and family man.
My heart goes out to Robert and Jonathan's mother Alma, his siblings, Nathan, Camilla, and Alajandro, as well as all of his friends and extended family.
In the following letters, you will see what an amazing man Jonathan was.
He deserves a proper funeral ceremony as a testament to how much he is loved and to provide the closure this family needs to heal, honor his memory, and move on with life. Unfortunately, funeral costs these days are out of reach for many families. Let's all take this opportunity to open our hearts and show the Delgado family they are not alone and have a caring community by helping them reach the funding goal so they can be free to grieve their loss and engage with the healing process.
Here is what the family has to say about Jonathan:

"For me as a father, Jonathan was my pride and joy!
In a big way because he was my first son with my wife Alma. His birth was a big accomplishment for me and brought forth the dedication that a man has to have for his family.
There are many things you discover along the way about your sons and daughters
such as special talents they have.
Jonny as a 5 or 6 year old kid loved to draw. As he grew up he continued to create more and more complex drawings. He was very good at it, and continued with it all the up to high school.
Now that he is gone, I’ll never know how far he could have taken that, but what I do know is he always had a loving heart and loved to help people.
More recently he wanted to become a firefighter, joining the youth firefighters academy in Alyssa Park in downtown LA in what we Hispanics call Chaves Revin. Due to the Covid pandemic that intention was delayed, but it didn’t stop him from practicing service drills with his friends! He has so happy doing that. I remembered it like it was yesterday.
He was adventurer more than most human beings alive!
Now I only have memories about my son. He was such a good boy and his short life gave me great enjoyment while it lasted. He will ever be remembered with great love and respect. He's a Delgado and will be loved eternally until my own time comes until we can meet each other again..."

My first love Jonathan a sweet boy even though he was an adult he still had a little boy's heart. People describe him as a sweet boy. Who love to smile, make silly faces and a very caring person, who was always willing to help others. I cannot believed he is not here with us anymore. He was very energetic since I can remembered when he was in my belly. He loved to played baseball as a child and he was good at it. As a teenager he started attending the Firefighter Youth Program, which inspired him to pursued that career. His plans were to finished high school, go to the Navy and prepared himself to become a fighter fire. He had so much dreams and goals to accomplish. Jonathan will always be in my heart and I am proud of the person he became...

"As his brother, we had a lot of differences, but to me it didn't matter at all. I only cared about the things we had in common cause those moments felt heartwarming and felt like I had someone there for me. We had our disagreements and agreements like brothers always do. Having him as my brother was pretty fun, cause when we were together, we used to do dumb stuff/pretty cool stuff, we had our laughs and our moments of crying together or fighting together."

"Jonathan made an impact on everyone. He was
always there for the ones he loved he never said no
when it came to us needing his support. He's a
sweet soul always making people laugh and pushed
them to have fun. He loves exploring new things,
new foods, new places, being around new people
He always made sure to push people to become
better. He was always forgiving people making them
feel better. Jonathan was going to Boston this
summer, there he was going to continue studying to
get a stable job. We were going to be flying back
and forth visiting each other. We were going to visit
Japan once we had the chance after college
graduation. We planned to work on cars together,
his dream car was a rx7. He was
always excited about his loved ones, always loved
talking about his nieces and nephews, making
random visits to them all the time. He was excited to
tell me about his visit to Texas how much fun he had
riding in the back of the truck going everywhere. I
hate returning home because it was the last time I
got to see him, every time I head back I just
remember that day and it hurts that it was our last.
He was my person and I was his. We made sure to let
each other know that every time. I am more than
grateful for having him be part of my life and shaping
me as a person as he taught me so much. I love you papa."
