The Dee of ‘73 Spirit of Caring Scholars 2024
Donation protected
This yearly scholarship was created by the girls of the class of 1973 Unionville High School, Unionville, PA, to honor their classmate, Diane (Dee) McCrabb Krupa, who died suddenly on July 12, 2018. As Dee was a psychiatric nurse, the scholarship will be given to a graduating UHS senior who is going into a healthcare-related field and who exhibits Dee’s caring character. The scholarship should encourage a student who exemplifies Dee’s generous, non-judgmental, caring, relentlessly good-humored and lovingly zany character.
Dee was beloved by everyone who knew her. All her life she was an effervescent light to her classmates, family, healthcare co-workers in Delaware and many, many friends. She raised two daughters, Amy and Heather, and cherished her four grandchildren very much.
As last year, we would like to raise a minimum of $2,000 for the scholarship, which will be given to the recipient at the special awards ceremony in spring. All donations will go directly to the scholarship minus 2.9% plus $.30 per donation for the GoFundMe fee.
The “Girls of ‘73”, as the informal UHS alumni group calls itself, thanks everyone who would like to donate whatever amount to this scholarship in honor of our dearly beloved and greatly missed Dee. Our hope is that this scholarship grows in amount and number.
