One car. One knife. One disloyal friend.
Ever wondered what goes on in the mind of a small-time criminal? When loyalty is shattered, it’s anyone's game.
The Debts We Owe is a crime black comedy that dives deep into this chaotic world. Our lead, caught in a web of suspicion and betrayal, must confront his once-loyal friend. It's a dark, twisted journey filled with paranoia, questionable decisions, and humour.
In this film, you’ll witness the struggle of a man who is forced to act on incomplete information, driven by fear and necessity. With sharp dialogue and a back-and-forth dynamic, we explore heavy themes lightened by comedic undertones.
Director's Statement:
“When Finn brought me the script for ‘The Debts We Owe,’ I knew it was something special. It reminded me of my favorite films and shows like The Killer, Barry, and Mr Inbetween. After brainstorming with Finn, we reimagined it from a typical hitman story to a complex tale of betrayal and forced violence. Inspired by a true story, we crafted a layered narrative infused with wit and humor. The result? A film that echoes the style of Guy Ritchie and Matthew Vaughn, and I couldn’t be more thrilled.”
