Over the last 2 years, I have been imagining producing a play, as the first project for my theatre company. I am finally doing this, with a play that has stuck with me since first coming across it in my travels over in the States.

The aim of Corvus Arts Theatre is to put on plays of the best writing from across the world, both contemporary and classic. We aim to do this with the finest actors and we want to do this over many years.

This first play, The Dazzle, by Richard Greenberg, is an Australian premier. It is loosely based on a true story, which is utterly compelling - it is about family, love, and mental health following the lives of two eccentric Harlem brothers and a troubled New York socialite, all desperate to escape (or give on to) various parts of their realities.

We will be the first main stage production to go on the new Meraki Arts Bar stage, and we do this with previews on November 16,17,18 and open November 19.

We need your help and ask you to generously support the arts with any means you may have to spare. The last 2 years have been challenging for all, but in the arts, we need to get back on our feet, and we need to put our money where our mouth is. My aim is to put my efforts into a long-term, sustainable new theatre company that will support artists and our community for years to come.

All funds will contribute to Corvus Arts Theatre's inaugural production, The Dazzle, providing funds for venue costs, insurance, set design, props, costume and will go towards paying our artists.
