The Dayna Keyes Memorial Fund

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Charlene Goto, a longtime friend and radio sister to the talented soul of Dayna Keyes.

Dayna and I have been in each other's lives for more than 17 years, playing in the radio sandbox at stations in San Francisco, and for the last six years as co-creators of her podcast, Radio Rehab .

If you've ever known Dayna, you know that she's a one-of-a-kind super talent. She was an actress, a radio personality, a voice over artist, and a recovering addict.  Dayna has been a part of show business since she was 8-years-old.  She was born in the deep South and raised on Rock 'n' Roll with another home-base in Los Angeles. The daughter of a rock musician father and creative artist mother, Dayna experienced the world, the road and all that comes with it at a young age. Thanks in part to her rock and roll life style, Dayna brought countless intriguing and fascinating stories, with a whole lot of laughter. Dayna has acted in indie films, music videos, and national TV  commercials, but she found her home in radio after moving to the Bay Area in 2000. She's worked at legendary stations KSJO, Alice@97.3, KFOG and 1077 The Bone, just to name a few. Then in 2016 she began her passion podcast, Radio Rehab.

If you don't know much about Dayna's story, she lived her battle with addiction openly on the Radio Rehab podcast and on the radio. Dayna struggled with the disease of addiction for nearly 30 years. The mission of Radio Rehab was for Dayna to recover out loud and share her and her guests’ stories in the hopes that it would help at least one listener who might be struggling with the disease of addiction. She was truly dedicated to other addicts’ recovery and the nuances of what that looks and feels like.

Unfortunately, Dayna's battle with addiction ended on March 30, 2022, taking her away from her loved ones way too soon. After discussions with her family and close friends, we decided to create The Dayna Keyes Memorial Fund, where people can donate in honor of Dayna's name. In working with Equanimity Interventions  & the Beautiful Boy Fund , we will make sure donations are put toward raising awareness about addiction and mental health. It will also help get individuals in treatment who otherwise might not have the opportunity at the chance of getting clean and sober.

With the help of Dayna's family and friends, I plan to continue the Radio Rehab Podcast in Dayna's honor. Having open conversations about addiction, mental health, and helping others get treatment— as a community—we will continue Dayna's legacy of helping others with her personal story.

Thank you in advance for your love and support. Dayna is in all of our hearts as we process her passing at this time.
