Helping my mom get back on her feet

Donation protected
My name is Alyssa, and this fundraiser is for my beautiful mother, Vickie. Let me start by saying that my mom is the most wonderful and kind hearted person I know. She would do anything for anyone and with a smile on her face and in her heart. Her strength is undeniable and I hope that alone will get her through all that has happened.
On Sunday January 21st my mother had a stroke. She went to the hospital with some shortness of breath and an uncomfortable abdomen. She had been expressing some concern to me about it but nothing she thought too much about. When she arrived at the hospital she presented with an irregular heartbeat and was given a medication to help regulate it. Come to find out she has atrial fibrillation, which had accumulated a couple of bloodclots that got sent to the brain and caused a stroke. She got transferred to a few different hospitals and finally got to where she is now which is the best place she could be with the best doctors. The decision was made by the doctors to take her into surgery and remove a piece of her skull to allow the brain to swell.  It was the absolute scariest moment of my life and I'm sure for her as well. It has been a balancing act for a week to keep her heart strong while allowing her to heal from the surgery. Once she is strong enough a decision will be made as to how they will fix her heart. Now, a week after it all and she is making slow progress but progress none the less. The future is still unclear as to the longterm effect the stroke had on her and what we can expect, but if there is one thing i know for sure, it is that my mom is a fighter and this will not keep her down.  She has all her grandchildren, children, family, and friends supporting her.
I am not the type of person to ask for help and I get that from my mom, but this situation is different. My mom does not have health insurance and the last thing I want is for medical bills to be taking priority over her care. I understand that my goal is high but I am going to try to do everything I can to help, any donation is greatly appreciated. We have a long road ahead of us, once she is released from the hospital she will be going to a rehabilitation facility, and beyond that I'm not certain.
All I know is that my mother always did whatever she could for me, and if she didn't have the means she would always find  some way to help, even if it was just a shoulder to cry on. Getting her back up on her feet and playing with her grandbabies again is my number one goal and if this fundraiser could help me do that I would be forever grateful.
