Dave D'Alessio, Daniel Hand Wrestling Coach and Polson Middle School Science teacher, selflessly served the community of Madison for over three decades. This weekend, we unexpectantly lost an incredible educator and hall of fame coach. Diane, Andy, and Hailey lost an exceptional husband, father, and leader.
Andy, a leader like his father, is in the midst of a successful career in management. Hailey is an award-winning photographer who graduates high school next year and looks forward to attending an art-focused college. Diane was a second mother to us all. Over three decades, the D'Alessio family selflessly shared their husband and father so that he could teach young men and women to become leaders. Dave's students and athletes went on to wrestle in the NCAA Divison I finals, attend Ivy League schools, serve careers in the military, become leaders in industry, and a few even went on to become coaches.
Collectively, it's our time and responsibility to step up to help out his family to carry on Coach's legacy. The money raised will be used to help with the funeral service, to ensure Hailey can attend college, and help Diane establish a foundation in Dave's name. The Coach D'Alessio Wrestling Foundation will continue Dave's legacy by investing in the Madison CT Wrestling program to ensure it's future wrestlers will be afforded the same character building opportunities and success-oriented culture that Coach D so masterfully created for hundreds of us.

There will be a graveside burial this Friday March 13th at Mica Hill cemetery in Durham, CT at 11am and a memorial celebration Saturday March 14th at Hubley Hall at the First Congregational church in downtown Madison at 10am:
