Around 4am on July 1, my brother Danny was in a car accident and tragically lost his life. Our family is so grateful for every call, text, and social media post (we've read every single one!); Thank you for every hug and kind story that has covered us for the last 48 hours, and that will comfort us in the days and weeks ahead. So many have asked "What can we do?"

We ask those wishing to honor Danny’s memory in a tangible way to please donate here to help create the Danny Michael Memorial Scholarship. Our hope is to award an annual scholarship to an outstanding Girls Basketball player at Woodgrove High School in Loudoun County. Preference will be given to students who exhibit leadership, sportsmanship and kindness; special traits we admired in Danny.

Nothing could bring our family and Danny’s loved ones more joy than knowing that his legacy will continue to live on in Western Loudoun for many years to come.
